Cover Pack ALU 9: PET/ALU Barrier Laminate

Structure and General Features

Cover Pack ALU 9 is made with multiple layers of high-performance materials, consisting of PET 12 µm, aluminum 9 µm, and black high-density polyethylene 80 µm, with two-component polyurethane adhesives ensuring excellent adhesion and stability. The combination of these layers provides a total weight of 122.4 g/m² and an overall thickness of 105 µm, with a tolerance of ±5%.

This material is designed to offer excellent barrier properties: water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) below 0.31 g/m²/24h, oxygen transmission rate (OTR) of 0.03 cm³/m²/24h, and high tensile strength (≥30–40 N/15 mm). Thermal stability ranges from -50°C to +80°C, while puncture and delamination resistance ensure protection even under the most demanding transport conditions.

Applications, Storage, and Food Safety

Cover Pack ALU 9 is ideal for industrial and food packaging, providing protection against moisture, oxygen, and external agents. The inner surface is suitable for food contact and complies with European regulations, making the material safe for packaging intended for the food industry.

It is recommended to store the material between 15 and 30°C, avoiding pallet stacking and moving the product to the production area at least 24 hours before use. The film’s technical properties remain stable for approximately 6 months after production, ensuring consistent performance during packaging and shipping.
